Paint Vegas promises six exciting days of futurity, jackpot and slot
classes, and will also award over $450,000 in cash instead of points.
The event will pay out $225,000 in added money in the open and non-
pro classes, in addition to the estimated total payback of $228,500
for the slot classes.
Open classes are generally filled with experienced riders, such as
trainers, while Paint Vegas non-pro classes are for amateur
competitors or Youth exhibitors with their birth-date on file with
APHA. Slot classes allow an owner to reserve the right to enter one
or more of their horses in a limited-availability class, yet name the
specific horse and rider at a later date.
Many of the classes offered are dual-approved with a number of
performance organizations, including the National Reined Cow Horse
Association and the National Reining Horse Association.
Join in the fun!
It’s not too late to show your colors at Paint Vegas. Late class
entries will be accepted until 5 p.m. the day prior to the class in
which you want to show in. APHA has reduced late fees to just $25 per
non-slot class to better accommodate exhibitors. APHA asks
competitors to bring the original registration certificate for the
horses they’ve entered or plan to enter in the show. All horses must
be officially identified before competing.
